Daniel Dank is a diplomatic consular officer, economic consultant, and humanitarian active across Europe, Africa, and selected partner regions in Asia. Based in Cagliari (Italy) where he serves Zambia's Consulate Office he maintains his home in Cologne (Germany), he advises governments, diplomatic missions, investors, and philanthropic organizations on emerging markets, development cooperation, and international economic diplomacy.

Over more than a decade, Consul Dank has built a reputation for combining protocol discipline, analytical economic thinking, and hands-on operational delivery. His work spans government advisory mandates, consular responsibilities, humanitarian logistics, and investment facilitation in sectors such as energy, infrastructure, agriculture, and innovation.

Hon. Daniel Dank began his work on the African continent in Malawi in 2009, initially in the context of development and humanitarian projects. In 2010 he received his first nomination as Honorary Consul of the Republic of Malawi to Germany, establishing a formal bridge between Malawian interests and German counterparts.

In subsequent years, he held and/or supported roles which, according to his professional biography, have included:

Economic advisory and consular functions for the Republic of Malawi in the European Union, including service as Economic Advisor and Honorary Consul to the Kingdom of Belgium.
Goodwill Ambassador for the Ministry of Energy, Mining and Natural Resources in Malawi (Since 2015).
Diplomatic Advisor to the Kingdom of Lesotho and its mission in Berlin.
Special Advisor for the Union of the Comoros and its mission in Brussels.

Today, his work relating to Malawi is focused on humanitarian and charitable activities through independent organizations and is no longer carried out directly on behalf of the Malawian government.

Hon. Daniel Dank is founder and long-time board chair of Malawi Goodlife e. V., a German development organization that delivers humanitarian aid, medical equipment, and development support to Malawi and neighboring countries such as Mozambique, Eswatini, and Zambia. External reporting and partner organizations have documented Malawi Goodlife’s container shipments of medical and relief goods, as well as its cooperation with local hospitals, churches, and NGOs. Through Malawi Goodlife and further initiatives he has helped:

Organize and dispatch humanitarian containers to crisis-affected regions
Support hospitals, care facilities, and disability services with medical equipment
Promote cultural exchanges, music and arts programs, and youth development
Develop vocational-education and technical-training concepts aligned with dual-education principles

He also serves on the Board of Chairmen of the Lightbridge Foundation, which promotes start-ups and small households in Asia through entrepreneurship support and micro-level development projects.
